Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of moxibustion with bowl at Shenque (RN8) point on flatulence of spleen-stomach disharmony type in children and its effect on intestinal peristalsis in children. Methods:A total of 100 children with flatulence of spleen-stomach disharmony type admitted from March 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with probiotics, and the study group was treated with moxibustion with bowl at Shenque (RN8) point. The intestinal peristalsis, traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores, clinical effects and adverse reactions in the two groups were observed. Results:After treatment, the disappearance time of abdominal distension and abdominal pain in the study group was respectively shorter than that in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment, and the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the study group were lower than those in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). The total clinical effective rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of incidence of adverse reactions between the study group and the control group (P>0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of moxibustion with bowl at Shenque (RN8) point can promote the intestinal peristalsis of children with flatulence of spleen-stomach disharmony type, improve the gastrointestinal function and help the disappearance of clinical symptoms with great clinical effect.
