Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of combination use of tendon nodes sputum manipulation and acupoint dredging massage on chronic nonspecific low back pain. Methods： A total of 88 patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 44 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional Chinese medicine massage， and the observation group was treated with lesion tendon nodes sputum manipulation and acupoint dredging massage. The clinical effects， and the changes in scores of Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) and Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ)， morphological parameters of multifidus [total cross-sectional area (TCSA) of multifidus， functional cross-sectional area (FCSA) of multifidus， and asymmetry of cross-sectional area of bilateral multifidus (CSAasy)]， and electromyographic signals of multifidus (mean electromyogram， root-meansquare value， mean power frequency) before and after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups. Results： After treatment， the total effective rate was 90.91% in the observation group， which was higher than 75.00% in the control group， the difference being significant (P＜0.05). After treatment， the scores of ODI and RMDQ in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the above two scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment， the level of TCSA and FCSA in the two groups were upregulated when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the level of CSAasy was reducd when compared with that before treatment (P＜0.05)；the level of TCSA and FCSA in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05)，and the level of CSAasy was lower than that in the control group (P＜0.05). After treatment，the mean electromyogram，root-mean-square value and mean power frequency in the two groups were elevated when compared with those before treatment (P＜0.05)， and the above three indexes in the observation group were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： The combination use of tendon nodes sputum manipulation and acupoint dredging massage can enhance the clinical effect on chronic nonspecific low back pain， and improve the morphological parameters and electromyographic signals of multifidus muscle，thus reducing the pain and improving the lumbar function.
