Abstract: Objective: To discuss the acupoint selection and compatibility rules of acupuncture for cancer-related constipation by data mining. Methods:The Chinese and English literatures on acupuncture for cancer-related constipation in CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, PubMed, and Cochrane Library were retrieved from the establishment of the databases to October 31, 2023. The literatures in line with the standards were entered into Excel database, and the times of use and frequency of use were learned by Excel software. The association rule analysis and cluster analysis were carried out by Ancient and Modern Case Recoreds Cloud Platform (V5.0). Results: A total of 28 articles were included, involving 29 acupuncture prescriptions and 30 acupoints. The most frequently used meridian was the Stomach Meridian of Foot- Yangming, followed by the Conception Vessel and the Pericardium Meridian of Hand-Jueyin. The top five acupoints in terms of times of use were Zusanli (ST36) point,Tianshu (ST25) point,Neiguan (PC6) point, Shangjuxu (ST37) point, and Zhongwan (RN12) point. The utilization rate of Zusanli (ST36) point was up to 19.30%. According to the association analysis,Neiguan (PC6) -Zusanli (ST36) points were the most used acupoint pair, and other acupoint selections were selection of nearby areas and homonymous meridians. The cluster analysis showed that the top four types of acupoint combinations in terms of times of use were Tianshu (ST25) -Zhongwan (RN12) -Guanyuan (RN4) points, Neiguan (PC6) -Zusanli (ST36) points, Shangjuxu (ST37) -Xiajuxu (ST39) points, and Zhigou (SJ6) -Hegu (LI4) -Sanyinjiao (SP6) points. For the treatment of constipation caused by intestinal dysfunction after cancer surgery, the commonly used acupoints were Zusanli (ST36) point, Neiguan (PC6) point, Shangjuxu (ST37) point, and Tianshu (ST25) point. For the treatment of constipation caused by opioid adverse reactions, the commonly used acupoints were Tianshu (ST25) point, Zhongwan (RN12) point, and Zhigou (SJ6) point. For the treatment of chemotherapy-related constipation, the commonly used acupoints were Zusanli (ST36) point and Tianshu (ST25) point. The frequency of use of treatment methods from high to low was electroacupuncture, transcutaneous acupuncture point electrical stimulation, warm acupuncture, ordinary acupuncture, and acupoint application. Conclusion: Based on the analysis of acupoint selection and compatibility rules, the main acupunture prescriptions have been obtained, with core acupoints being Zusanli (ST36) point, Neiguan (PC6) point, Tianshu (ST25) point, Zhongwan (RN12) point, and Shangjuxu (ST37) point, and electroacupuncture is used as the recommended means of intervention. The above treatment can be combined with different etiologies and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome types to modify the acupoint selections.
