Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of acupoint application combined with narrative nursing on the psychological state and quality of life of patients with cancer-related fatigue. Methods : A total of 120 cases of patients with cancer-related fatigue were selected and divided into the routine group and the trial group, each with 60 cases. The routine group received routine treatment, and the trial group was treated with acupoint application combined with narrative nursing. After four weeks of treatment, the intervention effects in the two groups were evaluated, comparing the scores of anxiety, depression [Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA),Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD)],disease coping methods [Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ)], Cancer Fatigue Scale (CFS), and quality of life [Short Form-36, (SF-36)] before and after the intervention. Results:The total effective rate of clinical effect was 98.33% in the trial group and 80.00% in the routine group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of HAMA and HAMD in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment, and the scores in the trial group were lower than those in the routine group, with a significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of positive coping with the disease in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the scores of negative coping were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05);the SCSQ positive coping score in the trial group was higher than that in the routine group (P<0.05),and the SCSQ negative coping score in the trial group was lower than that in the routine group (P<0.05). After treatment, the SF-36 scores in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the CFS scores were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05);the SF-36 score in the trial group was higher than that in the control group, and the CFS score in the trial group was lower than that in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Implementing acupoint application combined with narrative nursing for patients with cancer-related fatigue can effectively alleviate the degree of fatigue, improve the psychological state, promote patients to positively cope with the disease, and enhance their prognosis and quality of life.
