Abstract: Objective: To use visualization methods to analyze the current development status, hotspots, and trends of Wenjing Decoction. Methods: The literature related to Wenjing Decoction from China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), Wanfang Database, and China Biology Literature Database from January 1965 to January 2024 were retrieved. NoteExpress,Excel, and CiteSpace 6.1.6 software were used to statistically and visually analyze the publication volume, literature type, author, institution, disease type, and keywords. Results: A total of 912 articles were included, with a fluctuating and slowly increasing trend in publication volume. The types of articles included were mainly clinical applications and theoretical explorations. The author with the highest number of publications was Cheng Xiumei, forming a collaborative network group represented by Cheng Xiumei's team,Du Huilan's team,Xu Dingjie and Xu Hong's team. High frequency keywords mainly focused on Wenjing Decoction, dysmenorrhea, Chinese medicine treatement, etc. Keyword clustering analysis formed 10 clustering labels. The diseases treated with Wenjing Decoction were mainly concentrated in gynecological diseases, among which dysmenorrhea, menstrual disorders, infertility, metronidazole, and adenomyosis were the main diseases clinically treated. The research mainly focused on the clinical study of the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea, menstrual disorders, infertility and other gynecological diseases with Wenjing Decoction and its modified prescriptions. Conclusion: The research hotspot of Wenjing Decoction mainly focuses on the clinical treatment of gynecological diseases with Wenjing Decoction and its modified prescriptions. Among them, the observation of the therapeutic effect of Wenjing Decoction combined with acupuncture and moxibustion and the study of related pharmacological mechanism may be one of the future development trends of Wenjing Decoction research.
