    Abstract:

Abstract:The system of infantile tuina was formed and flourished during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It differs from the adult meridian system in terms of specific acupoint distribution, acupoint morphology, and stimulation intensity, but the scientific connotation and action mechanism behind it have rarely been deeply studied by scholars. Skin,as the direct target of infantile tuina, differs from adult skin in terms of morphology and function in infants and young children, showing significant developmental stage characteristics. The skin of the amphibian Cynops Orientalis can conduct mechanical stimuli in the early stages of embryonic development. In the long evolutionary process from multicellular organisms to higher vertebrates, humans may also have a skin-dominated information processing system at specific stages of development. Therefore, this article briefly analyzes the potential action mechanism of infantile tuina from the perspective of the developmental characteristics of children's skin from an evolutionary perspective,in the hope of providing a new direction for the scientific research of infantile tuina.
