Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of copper bian-stone scrapping combined with auricular point embedding needle on pre-diabetes patients with obesity of qi deficiency and phlegm turbidity type. Methods： A total of 40 cases of pre-diabetes patients with obesity of qi deficiency and phlegm turbidity type were randomly divided into the observation group and the trial group， each with 20 cases. The observation group was given regular dietary and exercise guidance， and the trial group was treated with copper bian-stone scraping combined with auricular point embedding needle. Both groups were treated for three months. Compared the changes in blood glucose，glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c)，cholesterol，body mass index， waist circumference， and hip circumference between the two groups before and after treatment. Results： After treatment， the 2-hour postprandial blood glucose， HbA1c， and cholesterol levels in the trial group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05)； there was no significant difference in fasting blood glucose levels between groups (P＞0.05). After treatment，the body mass index， waist circumference， and hip circumference in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment； the body mass index， waist circumference， and hip circumference in the trial group were lower than those in the control group (P＜0.05). Conclusion： Copper bian-stone scraping combined with auricular point embedding needle can reduce the body mass，waist and hip circumference，blood fat and postprandial blood glucose of pre-diabetes patients with obesity.
