Abstract: Objective: To compare the clinical effects of different acupuncture plans on post-stroke language disorder. Methods:A total of 102 patients with post-stroke language disorder were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 51 cases in each group. During the treatment, one case was respectively culled in each group and finally 50 cases were included. The control group was treated with international scalp acupuncture standard line, and the treatment group was given Tongdu Kaiyin acupuncture therapy. The two groups were treated for four weeks. The traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores, scores of Western Aphasia Battery (WAB) and Stroke and Aphasia Quality of Life Scale-39 (SAQOL-39g), clinical effects and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 94.00% in the treatment group, and 80.00% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the syndrome scores of sluggish speech or mutism, mouth and tongue deviation, hemiplegia, dizziness, shortness of breath and fatigue, and spontaneous sweating in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of spontaneous speech, listening comprehension, retelling, naming and the aphasia index in WAB scale in the two groups were elevated when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above scores in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group (P< 0.05). After treatment, the scores of physiology, psychology and society, communication and the total scores in SAQOL-39g scale in the two groups were up-regulated when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the above scores in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). During the treatment, the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups was 2.00%. Conclusion:The effect of Tongdu Kaiyin acupuncture therapy on language dysfunction after stroke is better than that of international scalp acupuncture standard line in improving TCM syndromes, language ability and quality of life.
