Clinical Study on Tuina of Dredging Meridians and Unblocking Governor Vessels Combined with Acupuncture Therapy Based on Link Vessels Interaction for Stroke- Induced Hemiplegia
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of tuina of dredging meridians and unblocking governor vessels combined with acupuncture therapy based on link vessels interaction on stroke-induced hemiplegia of qi deficiency and blood stasis type. Methods: A total of 82 cases of patients with strokeinduced hemiplegia of qi deficiency and blood stasis type, admitted to Anji County Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023,were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the randomized block method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was given routine rehabilitation therapy, and the treatment group was additionally treated with tuina of dredging meridians and unblocking governor vessels combined with acupuncture therapy based on link vessels interaction in addition to the control group's treatment regimen. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The clinical effects in the two groups were evaluated;the Barthel Indexes,Morse Fall Scale (MFS) scores, Padua scores for venous thrombosis risk, Berg Balance Scale (BBS) scores, Ashworth Scale scores for muscle tone, and venous thrombosis bleeding risk scores were compared before and after treatment in the two groups. Results:After one, two, and four weeks of treatment, the Barthel Indexes in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the MFS scores and Padua scores were decreased, differences being significant (P<0.05). After one, two, and four weeks of treatment, the Barthel Index in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the MFS score and Padua score were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the BBS scores in the two groups were increased, and the Ashworth scores were decreased compared to those before treatment, differences being significant (P<0.05). After four weeks of treatment, the BBS score in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the Ashworth score was lower than that in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). After one-week treatment, the venous thrombosis bleeding risk scores in the two groups were increased compared to those before treatment, differences being significant (P<0.05). After two and four weeks of treatment, the venous thrombosis bleeding risk scores in the two groups were decreased compared to those before treatment, differences being significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of clinical efficacy was 95.12% in the treatment group and 78.05% in the control group, differences being significant (P< 0.05). Conclusion: Tuina of dredging meridians and unblocking governor vessels combined with acupuncture therapy based on link vessels interaction in the treatment of stroke-induced hemiplegia of qi deficiency and blood stasis type can increase limb blood flow, enhance muscle strength, relieve spasms, improve neurological function, quality of life, and limb balance function, and promote the recovery of limb function.
