Abstract: Objective: To observe the improvement effect of infantile tuina combined with posture management on the grouth and development of premature infants. Methods: A total of 78 cases of very low birth weight (VLBW) premature infants in Tengzhou Central People's Hospital Affiliated to Xuzhou Medical University from March 2020 to March 2021 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group, with 39 cases in each group, using a number table method. The control group received routine nursing methods, and the observation group received infantile tuina and posture management on the basis of the control group. The changes in clinical outcomes (including non-invasive ventilation time, hospitalization time, and gastric tube retention time), growth and development (including average daily body mass growth, head circumference growth, and body mass growth), and gastrointestinal function (including motilin and gastrin) were observed and compared between the two groups of premature infants. Results:After treatment, the observation group had shorter non-invasive ventilation time, hospitalization time, and gastric tube retention time than the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the average daily body mass growth, head circumference growth, and body mass growth in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of motilin and gastrin in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Implementing infantile tuina and posture management for VLBW premature infants can effectively improve their respiratory and gastrointestinal functions, as well as various growth and development indicators, reduce hospitalization time and oxygen use time, and have a positive effect on promoting good clinical outcomes.
