Abstract: This article explores the relationship between the liver and prerimenopausal amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) from three aspects:Chinese medicine theories,modern research in Chinese medicine, and verification of Chinese medicine formulas. It proposes that the liver's abilities to store the blood and govern the free flow of qi are the foundation for maintaining normal cognitive function in women, and the functional coordination of the liver with the heart, spleen, and kidney is the guarantee. The relationship between the liver and cognitive function is further analyzed from the perspectives of Chinese medicine constitution,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome elements,and Chinese medicine emotions. It is advocated to soothe the liver qi to regulate the whole body's qi movement,supplement liver blood to nourish kidney yin and heart spirit, in order to provide reference for the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and treatment of prerimenopausal aMCI.
