Abstract: This article introduces Chief Physician LI Shujun's clinical experience in treating psoriasis vulgaris. LI Shujun believes that the fundamental pathogenesis of psoriasis vulgaris is the internal accumulation of blood heat, which persists throughout the disease course. He categorizes the basic syndromes into two types:blood heat and blood dryness. He advocates for a focused approach using blood syndrome differentiation, defense, qi, nutrient and blood syndrome differentiation, visceral syndrome differentiation, and meridian syndrome differentiation. In treatment,he emphasizes regulating the spleen and stomach, protecting yin fluids, and harmonizing the thoroughfare and conception vessels. He prescribes medication based on syndrome differentiation and incorporates findings from modern pharmacological research on Chinese herbal medicine for targeted treatment.
