Exploring Medication Rules of TENG Xiuxiang Using Method of Supplementing Kidney,Regulating Spleen, and Soothing Liver to Treat Ovarian Reserve Dysfunction Based on Data Mining
Abstract:Objective:To explore Professor TENG Xiuxiang′s medication rules in the application of the method of supplementing kidney, regulating spleen, and soothing liver to treat ovarian reserve dysfunction (DOR) based on data mining. Methods: A total of 26 effective prescriptions for DOR patients treated in Professor TENG Xiuxiang′s outpatient department from December 2017 to December 2022 were collected. Medicinals in the prescriptions and their efficacy, nature, flavors, entries of meridians, and usage frequency were statistically analyzed using Excel 2019 software. Association rule analysis of high-frequency medicinals was performed using SPSS modeler 18.0 Apriori algorithm;complex network analysis was performed using Cytoscape .9.1 software;R-type clustering analysis of highfrequency medicinals was performed using SPSS statistics 28.0. Results:A total of 26 Chinese medicine prescriptions were included, involving 126 Chinese medicinals and 0 high-frequency medicinals; the main types of medicinals were for supplementing deficiency, invigorating blood and dissolving stasis, releasing the exterior, and promoting urination and percolating dampness. The main medicinal nature was neutral and slightly cold, with sweetness, bitterness, and pungency as the main medicinal flavors. The main entries of meridians were the liver, kidney, lung, spleen, stomach, and heart meridians. There were 0 high-frequency associated medicinal couplets. Core medicinals included Cuscutae Semen,Pseudostellariae Radix,Bupleuri Radix,Dipsaci Radix,Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma,Polygonati Rhizoma,wine-fried Paeoniae Radix Alba,Taxilli Herba, and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma. The core medicinal couple was "Cuscutae Semen- Pseudostellariae Radix- Bupleuri Radix". There were nine types of prescriptions. Conclusion:Professor TENG Xiuxiang divides the pathological mechanisms of DOR into two basic types, namely the liver-kidney yin deficiency syndrome and the spleen-kidney yang deficiency syndrome, with four concurrent pathological mechanisms including liver depression, blood heat, dampness turbidity, and blood stasis. The basic treatment method is to supplement kidney, regulate spleen, and sooth liver,as well as clear heat, remove dampness, and resolve blood stasis.
