Abstract: Objective: To observe and compare the curative effect of heat-sensitive moxibustion on chronic fatigue syndrome of spleen qi deficiency type. Methods:A total of 70 cases of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome of spleen qi deficiency type admitted to Affiliated Guangdong Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from May to December 2023 were divided into the treatment group( 35 cases,4 dropouts) and the control group( 35 cases,4 dropouts) using a random number table method. Both groups received health education, with the treatment group receiving heat-sensitive moxibustion treatment on the basis of health education, and the control group receiving conventional mild moxibustion treatment on the basis of health education. Both groups were treated once every two days for 12 sessions (a total of 24 days). Evaluated the clinical efficacy in the two groups. Compared the Fatigue Scale FS-14 scores, the total scores and subitem scores of Chronic fatigue syndrome, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 93.55%(29/31) in the treatment group, which was higher than that of 74.19% (23/31) in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the FS-14 scores and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the FS-14 scores and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the total scores and subitem scores of chronic fatigue syndrome in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the total score and scores of muscle pain, joint pain, headache, sleep disorders, duration of fatigue discomfort after fatigue, and fatigue in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Both heat-sensitive moxibustion and conventional mild moxibustion can improve the clinical symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome patients of spleen qi deficiency type, and alleviate spleen deficiency. Heat-sensitive moxibustion has better therapeutic effects than conventional mild moxibustion.
