Abstract:Objective:To explore the medication rules of monographs on gynecology in Qing Dynasty for infertility based on data mining. Methods:The fifth edition of Chinese Medical Classics was consulted, and nine monographs on gynecology in Qing Dynasty were selected as the data sources. Excel 2010 software was used to establish a database of prescriptions for infertility, and the use frequency, nature and flavor, meridian entries, and curative effect of Chinese medicinals were analyzed. SPSS23.0 was used to perform k-means clustering analysis on Chinese medicinals with frequency of ≥ 8 times, and SPSS Modeler 18.0 software was used to construct association rule network diagram by Apriori algorithm. Results:A total of 54 prescriptions were included, involving 107 Chinese medicinals, with a total frequency of 506 times. The frequency analysis of curative effect showed that the Chinese medicinals for tonifying deficiency, activating blood and resolving stasis, and regulating qi were the most commonly used categories. The medicinals were mainly warm, neutral and cold in nature, and mainly sweet, pungent and bitter in flavor. Most of the meridian entries were the spleen, liver, kidney, heart, lung and stomach. K-means clustering analysis was performed on Chinese medicinals with frequency ≥ 8 times, and there were mainly four clusters. The first cluster included: Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, Poria and Paeoniae Radix Alba; the second: Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata;the third:Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma,Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma and Cyperi Rhizoma; the fourth: Cinnamomi Cortex, Moutan Cortex, Pinelliae Rhizoma, Corni Fructus, Dioscoreae Rhizoma, Eucommiae Cortex and Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. In the analysis of association rules, the medicinals with the highest support (antecedent→succedent) were Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Angelicae Sinensis Radix →Paeoniae Radix Alba; the medicinals with the highest confidence level (antecedent→succedent) were Chuanxiong Rhizoma and Angelicae Sinensis Radix→Paeoniae Radix Alba. The association rule network diagram showed that the high-frequency medicinal combinations were Corni Fructus-Dioscoreae Rhizoma,Pinelliae Rhizoma- Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, and Eucommiae Cortex-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium. Conclusion:In the Qing Dynasty, the treatment of infertility in monographs on gynecology was firstly to fortify the spleen, with securing the kidney as the root, and soothing the liver as the supplement. The core treatment method was to nourishing blood and regulating menstruation. The medicinals used are mainly for tonifying deficiency, supplemented by medicinals for activating blood and resolving stasis, and regulating qi.
