Abstract:This article introduces Professor FU Wenbin′s clinical experience in treating chronic frontal sinusitisrelated headache using an integrated acupuncture and moxibustion therapy known as the "Acupuncture first, moxibustion second, and consolidation third" method. Professor FU believes that the fundamental pathogenesis of this condition lies in deficiency-cold of the spleen and stomach leading to internal turbid phlegm that affects the orifices. The persistence of the condition is primarily due to mental unrest and inhibited qi movement. Therefore, Professor FU emphasizes the importance of regulating the spleen and stomach, along with calming the mind and stabilizing the spirit during the treatment of chronic frontal sinusitis-related headache. He advocates for the use of "Acupuncture first, moxibustion second, and consolidation third" method in the integrated acupuncture and moxibustion therapy, which combines acupuncture, precise moxibustion, intradermal needle, and collateral bloodletting techniques.
