Observation on Curative Effect of Xiao'er Jingxing Zhike Granules Combined with Terbutaline on Acute Bronchitis in Children and Its Impact on Lung Ventilation Function
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Xiao'er Jingxing Zhike Granules combined with Terbutaline on children with acute bronchitis and its impact on lung ventilation function. Methods:A total of 126 cases of children with acute bronchitis admitted to Nanyang Central Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 63 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Terbutaline Sulfate Nebuliser Solution, and the treatment group was treated with Xiao'er Jingxing Zhike Granules in addition to the control group's treatment. The total effective rates, traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) syndrome scores, lung ventilation function indicators [tidal volume( TV),time to peak tidal expiratory flow as a percentage of total expiratory time (TPTEF/TE), respiratory rate (RR)], levels of inflammatory markers [C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)], and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 96.83% (61/63) in the treatment group and 80.95% (51/63) in the control group, with a significant difference between the two groups (P< 0.05). After treatment, TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),with the treatment group scoring lower than the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of TV and TPTEF/TE in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and RR levels were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05); the treatment group showed higher levels of TV and TPTEF/TE and lower RR level than the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of CRP and TNF-α in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), with the treatment group showing lower levels than the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 4.76% (3/63) in the treatment group and 12.70% (8/63) in the control group, with no significant difference between the two groups( P>0.05). Conclusion:Xiao'er Jingxing Zhike Granules combined with Terbutaline in the treatment of children with acute bronchitis can enhance clinical effect, reduce inflammatory marker levels, and effectively improve TCM syndromes and lung function, with relatively fewer adverse reactions.
