Abstract Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Huoxue Prescription combined with auricular point seed-pressing in treating elderly patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome after percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI） for coronary heart disease. Methods：A total of 98 cases of elderly patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome who underwent PCI for coronary heart disease admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Chinese Medicine from March to September 2023 were selected and divided into the combination group and the western medicine group according to the random number table method， with 49 cases in each group. The western medicine group received routine treatment，and the combination group received a combination of Yiqi Huoxue Prescription and auricular point seed-pressing based on western medicine treatment. After four weeks of treatment，the clinical effects， traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） syndrome scores， cardiac function [left ventricular ejection fraction （LVEF） and cardiac output per minute]， exercise endurance [6-Minute Walk Test （6MWT）]， and Seattle Angina Questionnaire （SAQ） scores were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate in the combination group was 93.88%（46/49）， and that in the western medicine group was 79.59%（39/49）， with the difference being significant （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the TCM syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05），and the scores in the combination group were lower than those in the western medicine group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，the LVEF and cardiac output per minute in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05），and the LVEF and cardiac output per minute in the combination group were higher than those in the western medicine group （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the 6MWT distance in the two groups was prolonged when compared with that before treatment （P＜0.05），and the distance in the combination group was longer than that in the western medicine group （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the scores of physical limitation degree， disease stability， disease onset， disease cognition， and efficacy satisfaction in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05），and the scores in all dimensions of the SAQ scale in the combination group were all higher than those in the western medicine group （P＜0.05）. Conclusion： The combination of Yiqi Huoxue Prescription and auricular point seed-pressing has a definite therapeutic effect on patients with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome after PCI for coronary heart disease. It can significantly improve patients' TCM syndromes，enhance postoperative cardiac function and exercise endurance，and improve quality of life.
