Abstract： To summarize and introduce Professor ZHANG Linqi's clinical experience in treating nephrotic syndrome based on syndrome differentiation and treatment from the stomach. Professor ZHANG Linqi found that the occurrence and development of nephrotic syndrome are closely related to the abnormal functions of the spleen，stomach and intestine，and proposed a new concept of "stomach"，which refers to the reception-digestion-transmission system of the spleen，stomach and intestine. Professor ZHANG Linqi believes that the key pathogenesis of nephrotic syndrome is the deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality. In clinical practice，he always sticks to the pathogenesis，takes the kidney and "stomach" as the branch and root，and focuses on the differentiation and treatment of nephrotic syndrome by regulating the spleen， harmonizing the stomach and regulating the intestine. Therefore， the treatment reinforces healthy qi and boosts original qi to consolidate the branch and root， unblocks the fu-organs and removes turbidity to treat the branch，dispels the pathogenic factors and boosts qi to prevent disease changes，and in clinical medication， the treatment emphasizes regulating the yin and yang of the five zang-organs. Finally，the purpose of treating from the whole and getting stronger by reinforcing healthy qi can be achieved.
