Abstract: Objective: To analyze the medication rules of Chinese medicinal paste prescriptions for treating consumptive disease based on data mining. Methods:Chinese medicinal paste prescriptions related to the treatment of consumptive disease in the outpatient department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from December 2018 to December 2021 were collected. The data of paste prescriptions were extracted and organized according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud Platform was used to analyze patient information,frequency of Chinese medicinals,the nature,flavors,and meridian entries of Chinese medicinals, association rules, and complex networks; the medication rules of Chinese medicinal paste prescriptions for the treatment of consumptive disease were summarized. Results: A total of 336 prescriptions were included, involving 321 Chinese medicinals. The main traditional Chinese medicine syndromes of the consumptive disease included yin-yang deficiency syndrome,the liver-kidney insufficiency syndrome,qi-blood deficiency syndrome,and the kidney qi insufficiency syndrome. The high-frequency Chinese medicinals used in the treatment of the consumptive disease with paste prescriptions included Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Poria, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, and Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle;the nature of Chinese medicinals were mainly warm and neutral, with the main flavors were sweet and acrid; the major meridian entries were the spleen, lung, kidney, and liver meridians. Common herbal combinations of paste prescriptions included Bupleuri Radix- Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium- Poria, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle- Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, and Angelicae Sinensis Radix- Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma. Three cluster prescriptions were obtained by cluster analysis, namely Amomi Fructus- Cuscutae Semen, Chuanxiong Rhizoma- Aurantii Fructus- Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma- Angelicae Sinensis Radix- Astragali Radix- Corni Fructus- Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata- Dioscoreae Rhizoma,and Paeoniae Radix Alba- Pinelliae Rhizoma Praeparatum- Bupleuri Radix- Scutellariae Radix- Cinnamomi Ramulus- Jujubae Fructus- Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma- Poria- Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium- Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle. Complex network analysis found the core combinations of Poria-Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma-Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium-Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma Praeparata cum Melle-Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata-Bupleuri Radix-Angelicae Sinensis Radix-Cinnamomi Ramulus-Amomi Fructus-Scutellariae Radix- Dioscoreae Rhizoma-Paeoniae Radix Alba-Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma- Jujubae Fructus. Conclusion: Chinese medicine mainly treats consumptive disease by tonifying qi and generating blood,nourishing and harmonizing yin and yang, with Sijunzi Decoction, Siwu Decoction, and Chaihu Guizhi Decoction as the basic formulas for modified treatment.
