Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of modified Yupingfeng Decoction combined with Indacaterol Acetate and Mometasone Furoate Powder for Inhalation on cough variant asthma （CVA） and their impact on lung function. Methods： A total of 80 patients with CVA admitted to Huzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital Affiliated to Zhejiang Chinese Medical University from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research subjects. All patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method， with 40 patients in each group. The control group was treated with Indacaterol Acetate and Mometasone Furoate Powder for Inhalation，and the observation group was treated with modified Yupingfeng Decoction combined with Indacaterol Acetate and Mometasone Furoate Powder for Inhalation. Traditional Chinese medicine（ TCM） syndrome scores and lung function indicators were compared between the two groups before and after treatment； the clinical effects and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results： After treatment， the total effective rate of the observation group was 95.00% （38/40）， which was higher than 82.50% （33/40） of the control group，and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant （P＜0.05）. After treatment，the TCM syndrome scores of both groups were decreased compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05），and the levels of forced vital capacity （FVC）， forced expiratory volume in one second （FEV1） and the ratio of FEV1/FVC were increased （P＜0.05）， and the TCM syndrome scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group （P＜0.05），and the levels of FVC，FEV1 and the ratio of FEV1/FVC in the observation group were higher than those in the control group （P＜0.05）. The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.00% （2/40）， while the incidence of adverse reactions in the control group was 15.00%（ 6/40），and there was no significant difference between the two groups （P＞0.05）. Conclusion：The combination of modified Yupingfeng Decoction and Indacaterol Acetate and Mometasone Furoate Powder for Inhalation can improve patients' lung function to enhance clinical efficacy with high safety.
