Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Yiqi Tongmai Furong Decoction on diabetic lower extremity vascular disease with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome. Methods： A total of 96 patients with diabetic lower extremity vascular disease admitted to Wenzhou TCM Hospital from March to June 2024 were selected and divided into the combination group and the western medicine group according to the random number table method，with 48 cases in each group. The western medicine group received conventional western medicine treatment，and the combination group was additionally given Yiqi Tongmai Furong Decoction on the basis of the treatment of the western medicine group. The two groups were treated for four weeks. The clinical effects， traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores， ankle brachial index （ABI），lower extremity arterial blood flow velocity，blood glucose，blood lipid，atherosclerosis index and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 93.75 % （45/48） in the combination group，higher than that of 77.08% （37/48） in the western medicine group （P＜ 0.05）. After treatment， the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05），and the above scores in the combination group were lower than those in the western medicine group （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the ABI， popliteal artery and dorsalis pedis artery blood flow velocity in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05）， and the ABI， and the blood flow velocity of popliteal artery and dorsalis pedis artery in the combination group were higher than those in the western medicine group （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the levels of fasting blood glucose， glycated hemoglobin （HbA1c），low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C） and atherosclerosis index in the two groups were dwindled when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05）， and the above four levels in the combination group were lower than those in the western medicine group （P＜0.05）. There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups （P＞0.05）. Conclusion： Yiqi Tongmai Furong Decoction has a good curative effect on diabetic lower extremity vascular disease with qi deficiency and blood stasis syndrome， which can reduce the clinical symptoms， blood glucose and blood lipid， improve the blood circulation of limbs，and delay the atherosclerosis with great safety.
