Introduction of ZHOU Hongguang's Experience in Treating Postoperative Insomnia After Breast Cancer Surgery with Therapy of Warming and Nourishing to Resolve Toxin
Abstract: Based on the theory of cancer toxin proposed by Chinese Medicine Master ZHOU Zhongying and combined with years of clinical experience, Professor ZHOU Hongguang believes that patients after breast cancer surgery are prone to insomnia due to the impact of cancer toxin, surgery, and radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The pathogenesis involves the simultaneous damage to both yin and yang, the binding of cancer toxin, phlegm and stasis, malnutrition of heart spirit, and the inability of yang to enter yin. Treatment should address both the regulation and supplementation of yin and yang and the detoxification and elimination of cancer. Professor ZHOU has created a therapy of warming and nourishing to resolve toxin that warms and supplements yang qi, nourishes yin fluids, resolves toxin and achieves anticancer action, thereby harmonizing yin and yang and fundamentally resolving insomnia issues.
