Abstract： Objective： To visually analyze the study hotspots and study trends of manipulation under anesthesia （MUA） in the treatment of frozen shoulder （FS） using CiteSpace software， and to explore the possible development direction in the future. Methods：The relevant literature on the treatment of FS by MUA in the database of China National Knowledge Infrastructure （CNKI） from January 1，199，to December 1，202，was searched and imported into CiteSpace software. The total articles in the publication list each year， authors， institutions， and keywords were given visual analysis. Results：A total of 6 articles were screened and included in the study. The total articles in the publication list each year went through three stages：rising，fluctuating，and gradually decreasing. The analysis on author collaboration showed that the research teams represented by REN Hongyan，LIU Rulan and CHENG Shaodan published more articles，but lack of cooperation between teams. Institutional analysis showed that universities and their affiliated hospitals were the main research forces and lacked cross-regional cooperation. Keyword analysis showed that the research hotspots focused on brachial plexus anesthesia，manipulation release，methods and drugs of anesthesia， comprehensive treatment and postoperative rehabilitation. Ultrasound examination may become a research hotspot in the future. Conclusion：MUA has a great curative effective on FS. At present，MUA has not yet formed a strict and unified operating standard for FS，and complications may occur. The pathogenesis of FS and the mechanism of MUA are still unclear. Future research should pay attention to the basic study on FS and the safety and mechanism of MUA.
