Abstract:Objective:To analyze the medication rules of Professor GAO Xue in treating pulmonary nodules with the application of data mining based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computing System. Methods: Case data of lung nodule patients who visited Professor GAO Xue's clinic from September 2021 to December 2022 were collected and organized to construct an outpatient database. Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance Computing System( V3.0) was used to explore the frequency, four qi,five flavors, meridian entries, efficacy, association rules, and core combinations of prescription medicinals, and summarize Professor GAO Xue's medication experience in preventing and treating pulmonary nodules. Results : A total of 121 prescriptions were included , involving 119 Chinese medicinals, with a total usage frequency of 2 047 times. There were 30 commonly used Chinese medicinals, mainly including phlegm-resolving medicinals,heat-clearing medicinals,exterior-releasing medicinals, deficiencytonifying medicinals, and qi-regulating medicinals;the statistics for the four qi showed that warm medicinals were the most common, followed by cold medicinals;the most commonly used medicinal flavors were acrid and bitter;the most commonly meridian entries were the lung, the spleen, and the stomach meridians. There were 31 commonly used medicinal combinations, and three commonly used characteristic couplets were obtained through clustering analysis using K-means algorithm combined with clinical experience. Conclusions:Professor GAO Xue's clinical treatment of pulmonary nodules is based on the theory of "latent pathogen in the lung",with the main focus on dispelling pathogens, resolving phlegm and dissipating masses throughout, and supplemented by methods such as clearing heat and dispelling dampness, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and diffusing the lung and moving qi.
