Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Yang's point penetration therapy on cervicogenic headache with qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome. Methods:A total of 104 patients with cervicogenic headache admitted to Quzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2022 to September 2023 were randomly divided into the control group and the trial group, with 52 patients in each group, using a random number table method. Among them, three cases were excluded and one case was lost to follow-up in the control group, and ultimately 48 cases were included;two cases were excluded from the trial group, one case voluntarily withdrew, and ultimately 49 patients were included. The control group received oral Celecoxib Capsules, while the trial group received Yang's point penetration therapy on the basis of the control group. After four weeks of treatment, the clinical efficacy, pain status [Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scores, and daily headache duration], cervical functional scores, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome scores, sleep quality [Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI)],quality of life [Short-From 36 Health Surve (SF-36)], and safety were observed in the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 93.88% (46/49) in the trial group, and 79.17% (38/48) in the control group, the difference being significant (P< 0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores of pain and daily headahe duration in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the VAS score of pain and daily headache duration in the trial group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the cervical spine functional scores,TCM syndrome scores and PSQI scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the scores of three items in the trial group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the SF-36 scores in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the SF-36 score in the trial group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). During the treatment period, neither group of patients experienced any serious adverse events. Conclusion:Yang's point penetration therapy has a good effect on treating cervicogenic headache caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, which can reduce the severity of headache, improve the cervical activity function, quality of life, and sleep quality of patients.
