Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of hot medicinal compress along meridian in Zhuang medicine combined with Zhuang medicated cervical pillow on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy （CSR）. Methods： A total of 100 CSR patients treated at the Tuina Department of Mingxiu Branch，Guangxi International Zhuang Medicine Hospital， from August 2022 to June 2023 were selected for this study. The patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given external application with Flurbiprofen Cataplasms combined with cervical spine exercises， and the observation group was treated with hot medicinal compress along meridian in Zhuang medicine combined with Zhuang medicated cervical pillow. The Visual Analogue Scale （VAS） of pain， Neck Disability Index （NDI）， and Yasuhiro Tanaka Cervical Spondylosis Symptom Scale scores in the two groups were compared between the two groups；clinical effects were also evaluated. Results： After treatment， the cured and markedly rate in the observation group was 86.00% （43/50）， which was significantly higher than the 60.00% （30/50） in the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，both groups showed significant reductions in the scores of VAS and NDI compared to those before treatment （P＜0.05），with the observation group showing lower scores of VAS and NDI than the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，both groups showed significant increases in Yasuhiro Tanaka Cervical Spondylosis Symptom Scale scores compared to before treatment （P＜0.05），with the observation group scoring higher than the control group （P＜0.05）. Conclusion：The combination of hot medicinal compress along meridian in Zhuang medicine and Zhuang medicated cervical pillow for cervical spondylotic radiculopathy has a significant curative effect，and can effectively improve neck pain and cervical function.
