Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction on patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction and its effect on urodynamic parameters. Methods： A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 84 patients admitted to the Pan'an County Maternal and Child Health Hospital from October 2021 to October 2023 with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction. The patients were divided into the observation group and the control group based on different treatment methods， with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with pelvic floor muscle exercise intervention， and the observation group was additionally treated with Buzhong Yiqi Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for eight weeks. Clinical effects， urodynamic parameters，pelvic floor muscle condition，and levels of vaginal wall matrix metalloproteinase-2（ MMP-2） and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-2 （TIMP-2） in the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results： The total effective rate in the observation group was 95.2%（40/42）， higher than 81.0% （34/42） in the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment， both groups showed prolonged vaginal contraction duration （P＜0.05）， increased vaginal dynamic pressure values，and increased vaginal contraction electromyography values （P＜0.05）. The observation group had longer vaginal contraction duration，higher vaginal dynamic pressure value，and higher vaginal contraction electromyography value compared to the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，both groups had reduced scores of Pelvic Floor Impairment Questionnaire-7（PFIQ-7） and Pelvic Floor Distress Inventory-Short Form 20（ PFDI- 20）（ P＜0.05），with the observation group scoring lower than the control group（ P＜0.05）；both groups had increased Pelvic Floor Organ Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Function Questionnaire-12（PISQ-12） scores （P＜0.05）， with the observation group scoring higher than the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，maximum bladder capacity and maximum urine flow rate were increased in the two groups，with the observation group showing higher values than the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，MMP-2 levels in the vaginal wall were decreased in the two groups （P＜ 0.05）， with the observation group showing lower level than the control group （P＜0.05）； TIMP-2 levels were increased in the two groups（ P＜0.05），with the observation group showing higher level than the control group（ P＜0.05）. Conclusion： Buzhong Yiqi Decoction can enhance the clinical effect on patients with postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction，improve pelvic floor muscle condition，elevate urodynamic parameters，and improve patients' quality of life.
