Abstract： Objective： To observe the curative effect of the combination use of Yikang Decoction and auricular point seed-pressing on polycystic ovary syndrome （PCOS）. Methods： A total of 96 PCOS patients admitted to Wenzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2023 to January 2024 were selected and divided into the auricular point group， the Chinese medicinal group and the combination group according to the random number table method， with 32 cases in each group. The three groups were given conventional treatment， the auricular point group was additionally treated with auricular point seed-pressing，the Chinese medicinal group was additionally treated with Yikang Decoction， and the combination group was additionally treated with Yikang Decoction combined with auricular point seed-pressing. The three groups were treated for three months. The clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions，and the changes in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores，ovarian reserve and levels of sex hormones [follicle-stimulating hormone （FSH）， luteinizing hormone （LH） and estradiol （E2）] before and after treatment were compared among the three groups. Results：The total clinical effective rate was 93.75% （30/32） in the combination group，higher than that of 65.63%（21/32） in the auricular point group and 71.88%（ 23/32） in the Chinese medicinal group， the difference was statistically significant （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the three groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05），and the above scores in the combination group were lower than those in the auricular point group and the Chinese medicinal group （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the ovarian volume and the number of follicles in the three groups were dwindled when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05）， and the ovarian volume and the number of follicles in the combination group were lower than those in the auricular point group and the Chinese medicinal group （P＜0.05）. After treatment， the FSH levels in the three groups were elevated when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05）， and the levels of LH and E2 were reduced when compared with those before treatment （P＜0.05）. The FSH level in the combination group was higher than that in the auricular group and the Chinese medicinal group （P＜0.05）， and the levels of LH and E2 were lower than those in the auricular point group and the Chinese medicinal group （P＜0.05）. There were no obvious adverse reactions in the three groups during the treatment. Conclusion：The combination use of Yikang Decoction and auricular point seed-pressing has a definite curative effect on PCOS， which can improve the ovarian reserve，and regulate the levels of sex hormones with great safety.
