Abstract: This article introduces Professor LONG Xiangyu's experience in treating cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR). Professor LONG believes that CSR is a condition characterized by deficiency in root and excess in branch, caused by both internal and external pathogenic factors leading to damaged vessels and collaterals, and obstructed qi and blood flow. He categorizes CSR into acute, subacute, and chronic stages based on the disease progression, and into compression and injury types based on clinical symptoms. Consequently, he proposes the LONG's standardized stepwise diagnosis and treatment plan, which involves stage-specific and type-specific tuina techniques. This approach has achieved significant clinical efficacy.
