Abstract：Objective：This article is to introduce the clinical experience of Professor WANG Songling in treating brain diseases with eliminating filthiness and dispelling the pathogenic factors method. Professor WANG points out that the brain is the house of the original spirit. The treatment of neuropsychosis should be based on that of the brain. In clinical，the eliminating filthiness method should be used for dispelling the pathogenic factors without damaging healthy qi. For patients with eclampsia，it should eliminate filthiness by removing turbidity and open the orifices to awaken the mind；for patients with manicdepressive psychosis，it should clear heat to eliminate filthiness，and calm the heart and tranquilizing the mind； for patients with headache， it should eliminate filthiness by dissolving stasis and free the collateral vessels and calm the mind.
