Experience Introduction of XING Yufeng in Differentiating and Treating Metabolic (Nonalcoholic) Fatty Liver Disease with Obstructive Sleep Apnea Based on Theory of "Jiang-Fu Mutual Interference"
Abstract: This paper summarizes Professor XING Yufeng's clinical experience in differentiating and treating metabolic (nonalcoholic) fatty liver disease with obstructive sleep apnea based on the theory of "Jiang-Fu mutual interference". Professor XING believes that the key pathogenesis involves the mutual interference between Jiang and Fu organs and the obstruction of qi and blood. The treatment focuses on soothing the liver and regulating the lungs to harmonize the interaction between Jiang and Fu. Based on syndrome differentiation, for liver and lung qi stagnation syndrome, the treatment principle is to soothe the liver, regulate the lungs, and smooth qi flow, with Xiaoyao Powder as the base prescription with modifications; for phlegm-turbidity obstruction syndrome, the principle is to eliminate turbidity, resolve fat, stop snoring, with Quzhuo Huazhi Prescription as the base with modifications;for qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome, the principle is to promote qi and invigorate blood, eliminate stasis, and dissipate masses, with Kangxian Xiaoji Prescription as the base with modifications. Meanwhile, the concept of "preventive treatment of disease" is implemented throughout the diagnostic and therapeutic process, achieving remarkable therapeutic effects.
