Abstract： Objective： To observe the effects of Qingjin Huatan Yifei Decoction combined with Budesonide on chest CT quantitative parameters and lung function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease （COPD） at stable stage. Methods：A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 97 cases of patients with COPD at stable stage who were admitted to Anji County Hospital of Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to January 2023. According to different treatment regimens， the patients were divided into the control group （48 cases） and the combination group （49 cases）. The control group was treated with Budesonide Suspension for Inhalation， and the combination group was additionally treated with Qingjin Huatan Yifei Decoction based on the treatment of the control group. Clinical effects were compared between the two groups；St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire （SGRQ） scores， traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores， chest CT quantitative parameters [total blood vessel volume of pulmonary （TBV），total number of pulmonary blood vessels （Ntotal），number of small pulmonary blood vessels with a cross-sectional area less than 5 mm2 （NCSA＜5），volume of pulmonary blood vessels with an area less than 5 mm2（BV5）]， and lung function [forced expiratory volume in the first second （FEV1），forced vital capacity （FVC），and the ratio of FEV1 to FVC （FEV1/FVC）] were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results： The total effective rate in the combination group was 93.88% （46/49），higher than 79.17% （38/48） in the control group （P＜ 0.05）. After treatment， SGRQ scores and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores were decreased in both groups（ P＜0.05），with the combination group showing lower scores than the control group（ P＜0.05）. After treatment， the values of TBV，Ntotal，NCSA＜5，and BV5 in the two groups were reduced （P＜0.05），with the combination group showing lower values than the control group （P＜0.05）. After treatment，the levels of FEV1，FVC，and FEV1/FVC in the two groups were increased（ P＜0.05），with the combination group showing higher levels than the control group（ P＜ 0.05）. Conclusion： Qingjin Huatan Yifei Decoction combined with Budesonide Suspension for Inhalation can effectively improve chest CT quantitative parameters and lung function，providing a good therapeutic effect for patients with COPD at stable stage.
