Abstract: Objective: To study the acupoint selection rules of acupuncture in the treatment of acute biliary colic (ABC) based on data mining technology. Methods: Clinical research literature on the treatment of ABC with acupuncture in China National Knowledge Infrustructure( CNKI),Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform( Wanfang), China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP),and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (CBM) from the establishment of the database to December 31,2023 were retrieved. The prescriptions of acupuncture treatment for ABC were standardized, entered into Excel 2019 software to establish a database, and then acupoint frequency statistics, meridian attribution statistics of acupoints, statistics of specific acupoints, statistics of acupoint attribution parts, association rule analysis, clustering analysis, and complex network analysis were carried out. Results:A total of 42 research literature were included, involving 38 acupoints, with a total frequency of 262 times of use. The top five acupoints in terms of frequency of use were Yanglingquan (GB34), Dannang (EX-LE6), Zusanli (ST36), Danshu (BL19), and Ganshu (BL18). Acupoints of the Gallbladder Meridian of Foot-Shaoyang, the Bladder Meridian of Foot-Taiyang, and the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming were often selected. The top three acupoints in terms of degree value, betweenness centrality, and closeness centrality were all Dannang (EX-LE6), Yanglingquan (GB34), and Ganshu (BL18). Four acupoint combinations were obtained through clustering analysis. The association analysis showed that the support degree of the combination of Yanglingquan (GB34) and Riyue (GB24) was the highest. Conclusion:The acupoint selection in the treatment of ABC with acupuncture follows the principles of soothing the liver and gallbladder, and dredging the meridians and relieving pain. The core acupoint group consists of Yanglingquan (GB34), Dannang (EX-LE6), Zusanli (ST36), Danshu (BL19), Ganshu (BL18), and Riyue( GB24).
