Abstract:This paper summarizes and analyzes the relationship between constraint fire and the theory of opening, closing, and pivoting, and provides guidance for clinical diagnosis and treatment based on this relationship. Constraint fire arises from the failure of yin and yang qi to return to their original places, leading to a state of "constraint." Therefore, the treatment should focus on regulating qi movement. Based on the theory of opening, closing, and pivoting in the treatment of constraint fire, when the functions of opening, closing, and pivoting are normal, qi movement in the human body proceeds in an orderly manner, and the dynamic balance of yin and yang is maintained, sustaining the original structure of "internal yang and external yin," upon which the functions of yin and yang depend. When the qi movement related to opening, closing, and pivoting is derelict, yin and yang are unable to return to their original places and instead occupy incorrect positions, leading to "constraint. " Therefore, in the syndrome differentiation and treatment of constraint fire, it is essential to regulate the qi movement related to the three yin and three yang, and their opening, closing, and pivoting functions. The principle of this treatment is to restore yin and yang to their original state of "internal yang and external yin" and to revive their functions.
