Abstract:Objective:To explore Professor LIU Aimin´s medication rules for the differentiation and treatment of alopecia areata with Chinese medicine based on clinically cured cases, providing a reference for clinical treatment of alopecia areata. Methods:By sorting out, analyzing, and summarizing 400 outpatient cases of alopecia areata treated by Professor LIU Aimin in recent years, data mining was conducted via SPSS and Excel software to summarize the clinical medication rules for the treatment of alopecia areata. Results:A total of 400 prescriptions containing 154 types of Chinese medicinals were included. Six syndrome elements were extracted, with essence deficiency,qi deficiency, blood deficiency, and blood heat being the primary factors. The disease mainly involved the liver, spleen, and kidney. The commonly used Chinese medicinals in clinical practice included Poria, Cuscutae Semen, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata and Platycladi Cacumen. The main categories of Chinese medicinals used were those for supplementing deficiency, with medicinal properties focused on warm and neutral, and flavors mainly sweet, acrid, and bitter. The channel entries of the Chinese medicinals were mainly on the liver, spleen, and kidney channels. Association rule analysis revealed nine pairs of combinations with high association degree. The results of systematic cluster analysis were divided into two categories. The network visualization of association rules revealed that when the number of nodes was 60, the core Chinese medicinals were Lycii Fructus, Cuscutae Semen, Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata, Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, Poria, Angelicae Sinensis Radix,Bupleuri Radix and Cinnamomi Ramulus, with a high degree of compatibility among these Chinese medicinals. Conclusion:Professor LIU Aimin´s treats alopecia areata focuses on the simultaneous regulation of the liver, spleen, and kidney, emphasizing the application of the three Chinese medicinals of warming and supplementing, percolating and draining, and unblocking with bitter-acrid medicinals. Supplemented by Chinese medicinals of cooling blood and invigorating blood, promoting urination and percolating dampness, and rectifying qi and removing stagnation.
