Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of JIN´s three-needle therapy as adjuvant treatment for cervical spondylosis. Methods: A total of 90 patients with cervical spondylosis admitted to Zhuhai Hospital of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine from July 2021 to July 2023 were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 45 patients in each group. The control group received treatment with cervical pillows and neck muscle exercises, while the observation group received JIN´s three-needle therapy in addition to the treatment received by the control group. After six months of treatment, the clinical effects, Neck Disability Index (NDI), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) for pain, and Barthel Index before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 95.56% (43/45) in the observation group and 77.78% (35/45) in the control group, the difference being significant between the two groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the NDI scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the NDI score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the VAS scores in both groups were reduced when compared with those before After treatment, the Barthel Index in both groups was increased when compared with that before treatment (P<0.05), and the Barthel Index in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion:JIN´s three-needle therapy as adjuvant treatment for cervical spondylosis can improve clinical effects, relieve pain, and enhance cervical function and activities of daily living of patients.
