Observation on Curative Effect of Flash Cupping Combined with Fexofenadine on Acute Urticaria and Its Effects on Levels of Inflammatory Factors, Immune Factors, and Allergic Reactions
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of flash cupping therapy combined with Fexofenadine in the treatment of acute urticaria and its effects on the levels of inflammatory factors, immune cells, and allergic reactions. Methods: A total of 100 cases of patients with acute urticaria who visited the dermatology outpatient clinic at Lanxi People´s Hospital from October 2023 to October 2024 were selected and divided into the control group and the study group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was given the oral administration of Fexofenadine Hydrochloride Tablets, and the study group was additionally treated with flash cupping therapy based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for one week. The changes in inflammatory factors [tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF-α), interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-6 (IL-6)], immune factors [total immunoglobulin E (tIgE), secretory immunoglobulin E (sIgE), eosinophil cationic protein (ECP)], and allergic reaction indicators [chemokine ligand 5 (CCL5), monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1)] before and after treatment as well as the clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate in the study group was 94.00% (47/50), compared to 82.00% (41/50) in the control group, with a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of TNF-α,IL-4,and IL-6 in serum in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),and the levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of tIgE, sIgE, and ECP in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05),with the study group showing lower levels than the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of CCL5 and MCP-1 in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment (P<0.05), and the study group had lower levels than the control group (P< 0.05). Conclusion:The combination of flash cupping therapy and Fexofenadine in the treatment of acute urticaria can effectively reduce inflammatory and allergic reactions, improve immune function, and thereby improve clinical effect.
