Abstract: This article introduces Professor WEI Chenggong´s clinical experience in treating patients with cough after pulmonary nodule surgery by the syndrome-targeted differentiation. Professor WEI Chenggong believes that the pathogenesis of cough after pulmonary nodule surgery in the Lingnan region is characterized by four syndromes: deficiency, cold, dampness, and stasis. For deficiency, the treatment focuses on tonifying without neglecting to secure the body´s vital energy;for cold,it addresses the cold without excessive warming and tonifying;for dampness, it targets dispelling dampness with an emphasis on the spleen; and for stasis, it involves removing stasis while also tonifying qi and nourishing the blood. This syndrome-targeted approach in clinical practice has yielded good results.
