Abstract: This article introduces Professor HE Shidong´s clinical experience in treating idiopathic membranous nephropathy. Professor HE Shidong believes that this disease is characterized by a deficiency at its root and excess at the manifestation, with spleen and kidney deficiency as the underlying pathogenesis, complicated by pathogenic factors such as damp-heat and blood stasis. Therefore, he proposes a therapeutic approach that focuses on strengthening the spleen and kidney to consolidate the root, clearing heat and promoting diuresis to relieve tension in the sinews,as well as activating blood circulation and unblocking the collaterals to remove obstructions. In clinical practice, he uses the HE´s Moshen Prescription, combining disease and syndrome differentiation with modifications based on symptoms, which has proven to be effective in delaying disease progression.
