Abstract:Objective:To observe the effects of electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) and Neiguan (PC6) points combined with Xuebijing Injection on inflammatory factors and tissue perfusion in patients with sepsis-induced myocardial injury( SIMI). Methods:A total of 120 SIMI patients with blood stasis syndrome treated at Tongde Hospital of Zhejiang Province from June 2023 to June 2024 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group using the random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group received conventional western medicine treatment, while the observation group received additional electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) and Neiguan (PC6) points combined with Xuebijing Injection. The improvement of condition, inflammatory factors, tissue perfusion indicators, myocardial injury and function indicators, and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment, the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,sepsis-related Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) scores,Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHEⅡ) scores, and Mortality in Emergency Department Sepsis (MEDS) scores decreased in both groups compared to before treatment (P<0.05),with the observation group showing lower scores than the control group( P<0.05). Serum levels of C-reactive protein( CRP), tumor necrosis factor- α (TNF- α), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) decreased in both groups compared to before treatment (P<0.05), with the observation group showing lower levels than the control group (P<0.05). Blood lactate (LAC) levels decreased in both groups compared to before treatment, with the observation group showing lower levels than the control group (P<0.05);central venous oxygen saturation (ScvO2) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) increased in both groups compared to before treatment, with the observation group showing higher levels than the control group( P<0.05). Levels of troponin I( cTnI) and B-type natriuretic peptide( BNP) decreased in both groups compared to before treatment, with the observation group showing lower levels than the control group (P<0.05);left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and the ratio of early diastolic mitral inflow velocity (E peak) to late diastolic mitral inflow velocity (A peak) increased in both groups compared to before treatment, with the observation group showing higher values than the control group (P<0.05). Compared to the control group, the observation group had shorter mechanical ventilation time and ICU stay,as well as a lower 28-day mortality rate( P<0.05). Conclusion:Electroacupuncture at Zusanli (ST36) and Neiguan (PC6) points combined with Xuebijing Injection can alleviate the condition of SIMI patients, reduce inflammatory responses, improve tissue perfusion and myocardial function, shorten mechanical ventilation time and ICU stay, and lower the risk of death.
