Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the combination use of mild moxibustion and negative pressure wound therapy on chronic refractory wound. Methods:A total of 100 patients with chronic refractory wound admitted to the Department of Burn Surgery,China Coast Guard Hospital of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force from January 2023 to June 2024 were selected as the study subjects and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated with negative pressure wound therapy, and the observation group was additionally treated with mild moxibustion based on the treatment in the control group. Both groups were treated for one month. After treatment, the clinical effects, wound healing time, pain, levels of serum inflammatory factors and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 94.00% (47/50) in the observation group, higher than that of 72.00%( 36/50) in the control group( P<0.05). After treatment, the wound diameter reduction time and wound healing time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences being significant( P< 0.05). After treatment, the levels of serum interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and C-reactive protein( CRP) in the two groups were reduced when compared with those before treatment( P<0.05),and the levels of serum IL-1β,IL-6 and CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After one week, two weeks and four weeks of treatment, the scores of Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) in the two groups were gradually down-regulated (P<0.05);after two and four weeks of treatment, the VAS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group at the same time point (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 8.00%(4/50) in the observation group, lower than that of 18.00%(9/50) in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combination use of mild moxibustion and negative pressure wound therapy can effectively promote the wound healing, improve the inflammation factor levels, reduce pain and enhance the clinical effect on chronic refractory wound.
