Abstract:By organizing and summarizing the clinical research literature on the Qiuxu (GB40) point over the past decade,it has been found that this acupoint is widely used in the treatment of diseases such as post-stroke ankle motor dysfunction, migraine, and ankle injury. It has the functions of soothing the liver and promoting gallbladder function, harmonizing qi and blood, activating blood circulation to remove blood stasis, and unblocking collaterals to relieve pain. Among the diseases mentioned above, the role of Qiuxu (GB40) point in treating post-stroke ankle dysfunction and ankle injury is indispensable, and the acupoint is often used alone or with penetrating needling. When treating other diseases,it is mostly used in combination with other acupoints on the same meridian or different meridians. At the same time, the deficiencies of Qiuxu (GB40) point in modern research have been summarized and analyzed,in the hope of better inspiring clinical practice and guiding scientific research.
