Abstract:Nowadays, there are numerous factors that can induce depression. When the body is constrained and unable to release this depression, it leads to stagnation of the qi movement, resulting in impaired consolidation, warmth, and activity. This is a significant cause of andrological diseases related to the seminal vesicles, which are characterized by prolonged courses and difficulty in achieving a cure. Inspired by the discussion of "depression-induced diseases" in the Dan Xi Xin Fa (Teachings of Dan-xi),the author proposes the theory of "extreme depression leads to change." This theory addresses the direct and indirect damages caused by depression in the occurrence of seminal vesicle diseases, whether the diseases lead to depression, depression leads to diseases,or both coexist. It mainly elucidates the relationship between depression and andrological seminal vesicle diseases. Guided by the "extreme depression leads to change" theory in clinical treatment,it is essential to establish the principle of relieving depression from the viscera and bowels, primarily establish the therapeutic principle of eliminating excess pathogens without harming the body's healthy qi,and ensuring unblocking as the optimal mehtod. This provides a reference for treating such diseases from the perspective of depression syndrome.
