Abstract: Objective: To explore the medication rules of YE Tianshi in treating postpartum diseases in women based on data mining technology. Methods:Data mining was used to statistically analyze the frequency,natures and flavors,channel entries,and efficacy of Chinese herbs in 125 prescriptions from Chapter Postpartum of Lin Zheng Zhi Nan Yi An (Case Records as a Guide to Clinical Practice). Association rule analysis and cluster analysis of herbs were performed to explore YE's diagnosis and treatment experience. Results:A total of 190 herbs were collected,mainly including Poria, Angelicae Sinensis Radix, Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Poria cum Radix Pini, and Lycii Fructus. The medicinal natures were mainly warm,neutral,and cold;the flavors were mainly sweet,bitter,and acrid;the channel entries were mainly the kidney,spleen,heart,and liver channels;and the efficacy categories were mainly supplementing deficiency, promoting urination and percolating dampness, clearing heat, warming the interior, and invigorating blood and dissolving stasis. A total of 59 rules were obtained through association rule analysis,and 3 core herbal combinations were identified through cluster analysis. Conclusion: YE Tianshi deeply understood the pathogenesis characteristics of postpartum women,including qi-blood depletion,liver-kidney injury,and emptiness of the eight extraordinary vessels. He emphasized the use of sweet-warm herbs to nourish the heart-spleen and boost qi and blood, combined Liuwei Dihuang Pills with warm-tonifying and astringent herbs to supplement the liver-kidney and regulate the extraordinary vessels, and attached importance to invigorating blood, removing dampness, and clearing heat to resolve postpartum lochia stasis.
