Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Kaixuan Xingshen acupuncture method on post-stroke Broca's aphasia(PSBA)and its effect on language function and quality of life of patients. Methods:A total of 96 PSBA patients admitted to Hospital of Zhejiang Provincial Corps of the Chinese People's Armed Police from June 2021 to January 2024 were divided into the control group and the combination group according to the random number table method,with 48 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional language rehabilitation training combined with mirror visual feedback therapy, and the combination group was additionally treated with Kaixuan Xingshen acupuncture based on the above treatment. The severity of aphasia [Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination (BDAE)],language function [Western Aphasia Battery(WAB)],quality of life [Stroke and Aphasia Quality of Life Scale-39(SAQOL-39)] and clinical effects were compared between the two groups. Results:After treatment,the total effective rate was 97.92%(47/48)in the combination group,and 75.00%(36/48)in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05);the BDAE grading in the two groups was improved when compared with that before treatment,and the BDAE grading in the combination group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05); the WAB scores of spontaneous speech,listening comprehension,retelling and naming in the two groups were elevated when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the above scores in the combination group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05);the SAQOL-39 scores in the two groups were up-regulated when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the SAQOL-39 score in the combination group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Based on conventional language rehabilitation training combined with mirror visual feedback therapy,the adoption of Kaixuan Xingshen acupuncture can effectively improve the aphasia degree of PSBA patients and enhance the language function,quality of life and clinical effect.
