Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Kaiqiao Liyan Four-Step Needling combined with swallowing training in patients with post-stroke dysphagia on the basis of conventional therapy. Methods:A total of 108 patients with post-stroke dysphagia admitted to Quzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2024 to June 2024 were enrolled and divided into the control group and the combined group using the random number table method, with 54 cases in each group. Both groups received conventional therapy and swallowing training, while the combined group additionally underwent Kaiqiao Liyan Four-Step Needling. The course of treatment for the two groups lasted four weeks. The changes in swallowing function [Standardized Swallowing Assessment(SSA)score],dysphagia severity[VideofluoroscopicSwallowingStudy(VFSS)score]beforeandaftertreatmentinthetwogroupswereevaluated, and the clinical efficacy, the pharyngeal constriction duration and incidence of complications were recorded. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate in the combined group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Both groups showed decreased SSA scores and increased VFSS scores compared to those before treatment, differences being significant(P<0.05). The SSA score in the combined group was lower than that in the control group, the VFSS score was higher, differences being significant(P<0.05). The pharyngeal constriction duration was prolonged in the two groups(P<0.05),and the duration in the combined group was significantly longer than that in the control group(P< 0.05). The incidence of complications in the combined group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:The application of Kaiqiao Liyan Four-Step Needling combined with swallowing training,on the basis of conventional therapy, can effectively improve swallowing function, reduce complications, and enhance clinical efficacy in patients with post-stroke dysphagia.
