Introduction of PAN Ruihuan's Experience in Treating Post-Stoke Lower Limb Motor Dysfunctionwith"Mind-RegulatingandQi-Coursing"CoordinatedAcupuncture Therapy
Abstract:Objective:This article is to introduce Professor PAN Ruihuan's clinical experience in treating post- stroke lower limb motor dysfunction with “mind-regulating and qi-coursing” coordinated acupuncture therapy. Professor PAN holds that the core pathogenesis of post-stroke lower limb motor dysfunction lies in brain nutrient deprivation, brain mental-spiritual dysfunction and brain qi stagnation. He puts forward the “mind-regulating and qi- coursing” coordinated acupuncture therapy for post-stroke lower limb motor dysfunction based on theories of “harmonizing the body and spirit” and “brain being the house of the original spirit”,highlighting the brain-limb coordination and regulation of both body and spirit. It can promote the recovery of brain function and regulates qi and blood by selecting specific combinations of scalp-body acupoints and applying coordinated needle manipulation techniques, thereby effectively improving functional impairment of the affected lower limbs.
