Introduction to SU Xuan's Experience in Treating Post-Stroke Insomnia with Acupunc⁃ ture and Moxibustion for Regulating the Spirit and Strengthening the Spleen
Abstract:This article introduces Professor SU Xuan's clinical experience in treating post-stroke insomnia using acupuncture and moxibustion for regulating the spirit and strengthening the spleen. Professor SU Xuan believes that the main pathogenesis of post-stroke insomnia is the imbalance of nutrient-defensive qi,the disorder of qi and blood, the loss of control over the spirit, and the disharmony of yin and yang. She advocates prioritizing the regulation of the spirit while also paying attention to the spleen and stomach, and combining various therapies for an integrated treatment approach to achieve integrity of form and spirit and balance of yin and yang, thereby effectively treating post-stroke insomnia.
