Abstract:Abstract: The Theory of guarding the meridians, which emphasizes the regulation of the physiological and pathological changes of the meridians as the core guiding principle for diagnosing and treating diseases, stresses the harmonization of qi and blood and the unobstructed flow of meridians. According to this theory, the deficiency of spleen and kidney yang runs through the entire course of premature ovarian failure(POF), with the depletion of qi and blood and the insufficiency of the blood vessels being the key pathogenic factors. The obstruction of phlegm and blood stasis in the vessels and the lack of nourishment to the uterus are considered the main factors in the progression of the disease. In terms of treatment, the principles of warming yang, unblocking the meridians, enriching qi and blood, and removing blood stasis and phlegm are adopted. Based on the theory of guarding the meridians and following the holistic thinking of the integration of zang-fu organs, meridians, and qi and blood in traditional Chinese medicine, the combined therapy of acupuncture and tuina is used to intervene in POF. The aim is to restore ovarian function and improve the quality of life of patients, achieving good clinical efficacy. This study aims to provide a reference for the external treatment of POF in traditional Chinese medicine.
